Which action camera models are compatible with the FIFISH Sport Camera Mount?
The FIFISH Sport Camera Mount utilizes a standard high-torque thumbscrew, making it compatible with a wide range of action cameras, including most of the GoPro Hero Series, DJI Osmo Action Series, Insta360 Series and other brands works with any action camera that uses the standard industry mounting interface.
Can the Q-Camera be installed on the Sport Camera Mounts?
It is not recommended and generally unnecessary.
Design Purpose: Sport Camera Mounts are physical brackets designed for third-party cameras (like GoPro) that have independent batteries and internal storage.
System Integration: The Q-Camera is a system-level expansion accessory that requires a wired connection for power and data transmission. To ensure the stability of underwater communication and a secure fit, the Q-Camera must be used with its own dedicated mounting base and reinforced structure.
What are the primary applications for the Upper Mount and Lower Mount?
The choice of mounting position depends on your specific mission requirements:
Upper Mount (Top Mounting):
Best For: Capturing underwater scenery, monitoring forward obstacles, and recording navigation logs.
Advantages: Provides a wide field of view similar to a diver’s first-person perspective (FPV). It is also less likely to be obscured by sediment kicked up from the seabed.
Lower Mount (Bottom Mounting):
Best For: Inspecting underside structures (such as ship hulls or pipelines), observing sediment sampling, and searching for objects on the seafloor.
Advantages: Allows for close-up, top-down observation of targets below the ROV, making it ideal for downward-facing tasks and search-and-recovery missions.
Can I adjust the filming angle of a sports camera installed via the Sport Camera Mounts?
Yes, the angle and direction are adjustable. You can customize the positioning of your sports camera using the following two methods:
360° Directional Adjustment (Horizontal): You can change the orientation of the mount base to face forward, backward, left, or right. Simply loosen the four screws on the base plate, rotate the mount to your desired direction, and securely retighten the screws.
Tilt Angle Adjustment (Vertical): The camera mount features a pivot axis, allowing you to tilt the camera up or down to achieve the expected underwater filming perspective.
