3-Meter (9.8ft) Tether
The 3-Meter (9.8ft) Tether is a specialized, short-length cable designed for close-range missions, system testing, and maintenance tasks. Despite its compact size, it maintains the same rugged Kevlar-reinforced construction as QYSEA long-distance tethers. It is the perfect tool for laboratory calibrations, equipment demonstrations, or confined-space operations where managing long cables is unnecessary and inefficient.
Compatible ROV Models
V-EVO, V6 EXPERT, E-GO
- Ultra-Short 3m Length: Optimized for bench testing, pool demonstrations, and close-range hull inspections.
- Kevlar-Reinforced Strength: Built with high-tenacity fibers providing 100 kgf of breaking force.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about our underwater ROVs or your order? We’re here to help!

In what scenarios should I use the 3m Power Tether?
This short-length tether is not intended for standard underwater exploration. Its core use cases include:
Close-Range Testing: Ideal for sensor calibration, accessory installation tests, or firmware updates on land, boat decks, or poolside without needing to deploy a heavy, long-distance spool.
Exhibitions & Demonstrations: Perfect for trade shows, classroom settings, or desktop presentations where you need to connect the ROV to the controller while keeping the workspace organized and cable-free.
Connection Link: It serves as the bridge cable between the 200m/300m Tether Spool and the Remote Controller (RC).
What is the thickness of the cable, and what is its tensile strength?
Despite its short length, the cable is built to industrial standards:
Diameter: 4.0 mm.
Tensile Strength: It can withstand a pulling force of up to 100 kgf, providing high durability and safety during handling.
Which FIFISH ROV models are compatible with this tether? Can it be used with other brands?
This spool is basically compatible with all FIFISH ROV models, including the FIFISH V-EVO, V6 EXPERT, and E-GO. It is designed specifically for the communication protocols and connector types of QYSEA products and is not compatible with other ROV brands.
Is this tether prone to tangling?
Low Risk: Due to the 3-meter length, there is virtually no space for the cable to loop or knot in the water, making it extremely easy to manage and retract.
Safety Warning: Even at 3 meters, you must remain cautious near active boat propellers. Because the ROV is much closer to the support vessel when using this tether, reaction times are significantly shorter if an entanglement occurs. Always monitor the ROV’s position relative to the hull.
Why does the ROV require a Tether Spool instead of a wireless connection?
This solves the "underwater radio black hole" problem. Because radio waves do not travel well through water, a physical tether is the only way to support the high bandwidth required for 4K HD real-time video transmission while providing a physical safety line for equipment recovery.
