Does the Retrieval Hook require a Robotic Arm to function?
Yes. The Retrieval Hook is a passive tool and must be mounted onto a Robotic Arm. The ROV uses the robotic arm to precisely position and "lock" the target. Once secured, the ROV releases the claw, leaving the hook attached to the object so it can be pulled up manually via a pre-attached rope.
Is the Retrieval Hook prone to rust in saltwater or wastewater?
The hook is made of Anodized Aluminum Alloy, which is highly resistant to corrosion. However, after use in seawater or corrosive environments (like sewers), we strongly recommend rinsing it with fresh water and wiping it dry to prevent chemical buildup and prolong its lifespan.
Can I use the Retrieval Hook if the Robotic Arm already has Parallel Grippers installed?
No. You must remove the Parallel Grippers before installing the Retrieval Hook onto the robotic arm.
